Meet Marta Rydel: A Closer Look at gravity9’s Frontend Development Expert
When it comes to disrupting entire industries and building transformative customer experiences, you have to have an exceptional team that can build these products at pace.
Our team at gravity9 is just that; highly skilled, driven, passionate, and fun to work with!
We continue our Meet the gravity9ers series with the introduction of Marta Rydel.
What is your role at gravity9 (and what is your expertise)?
I’m Senior Consultant QA Engineer responsible for manual and automation testing.
What advice would you give to someone looking to excel in your line of work?
Be kind and inquisitive. Challenge the things that you think could be improved, and don’t accept justifications or proposed solutions too easily.
What do you enjoy most about working at gravity9?
The people. Even though we often haven’t met in person, I can reach out to anyone in the company to get help, support, or virtual “coffee”.
I also like that I can suggest project or company improvements and be an actual part of the change process.
Tell us about your hobbies and interests. What do you do in your spare time?
Pastry! I love baking. Besides birthday cakes for all my family members, I specialize in small desserts like mousse cakes, tartlets, and meringues.
I sometimes bring some sweets to the office!
What would be your dream vacation?
A trip around the world!
I love sightseeing and walking around, observing local people and architecture, enjoying the atmosphere of the place, and tasting local food.
Who inspires you, and why?
I get inspired by the people I work with and interact with. My best ideas were the solutions to problems I have discussed with my colleagues.
What really grinds your gears (your pet peeve)?
I hate when people touch unwrapped bread with their bare hands while shopping – (yes, some people do that!).
What’s your favourite Quote?
“There is only one thing that makes a dream impossible to achieve: the fear of failure.”
― Paulo Coelho, The Alchemist
What’s your favourite book, movie, or TV series (and why do you love it)?
“Friends” TV series. I laugh every time I watch it, even though I’ve already watched every episode many times!
