The client faced significant challenges meeting strict data localization laws, as their legacy systems stored all data in the U.S. and lacked reliable location tagging. This made compliance with regulations in countries requiring local storage impossible, while inconsistencies and missing information within the data further heightened the risk of legal and financial penalties.

gravity9, working with MongoDB, implemented Atlas Global Clusters across multiple cloud providers to shard and store data based on geographical requirements. Data was standardized, enriched with accurate location details, and microservices were updated to ensure seamless application performance. The result was a resilient, scalable system that ensured compliance with data localization laws, enhanced reliability, and allowed operations to continue without disruption.
