Senior Product Manager

 Hybrid
 Las Vegas  United States

Job description

gravity9 is a boutique IT consulting company headquartered in the UK with offices in the US, Poland, Ireland, and Colombia. Our team has deep experience in engineering, experience design and product management. We enjoy a challenge and pride ourselves on working with our clients on their most complex problems, finding elegant and flexible solutions that help them transform their businesses.

Role Description

We are looking for a seasoned, sharp, and highly communicative Senior Product Manager with a proven track record of leading complex product deliveries. You will be embedded within enterprise environments to own the end-to-end product lifecycle — from vision through launch and beyond — working at the intersection of business strategy, engineering, and user experience.

Our clients often come to us because they are navigating a transition from legacy technology to modern platforms and need experienced guidance to get there. You will lead that journey on the product side: defining what needs to be built, why it matters, and how to get there. Success in this role means more than delivering a great product — it means leaving the client in a stronger position than you found them, with modern capabilities, clear processes, and a team ready to own what comes next.

A defining aspect of this role is the ability to bring clarity to ambiguity. You will be the connective tissue between client stakeholders, gravity9 delivery teams, and third-party vendors, ensuring that every party has a precise, shared understanding of what needs to be built and why. You will challenge assumptions, close gaps in understanding, and drive alignment so that no team is left guessing.

We believe small, multi-disciplinary teams are most effective in delivering complex change. Our projects predominantly involve building tools, extensions, and new products or applications within mature organisations — work that demands a delivery mindset suited to complexity and pace. Our uniqueness as a company is our ability to deliver quality at speed within the most complex enterprise environments. We are looking for someone with a collaborative mindset who is happy to be flexible and take on different responsibilities over the lifetime of our engagements.

Key Responsibilities

Vision & Roadmap

  • Define product vision and roadmap in close collaboration with client stakeholders, gravity9 engineering teams, and experience designers — with a clear understanding of the client's current landscape and where they need to get to.

  • Guide stakeholders across business, engineering, infrastructure, data, and product support — bringing together different points of view, cutting through noise, and driving consensus toward identified business goals.

  • Lead requirements gathering sessions to identify, define, and document requirements as epics and user stories, ensuring the product backlog is clear, concise, and unambiguous.

  • Prioritize features, define scope, and negotiate scope agreements to ensure the product delivers maximum customer and business value.

Stakeholder & Vendor Management

  • Serve as the central point of communication between client stakeholders, gravity9 delivery teams, and third-party vendors, ensuring alignment and a shared understanding of requirements at all times.

  • Guide third-party vendor product owners to develop a thorough understanding of the scope, the broader environment, and how functionality is interconnected — building a shared definition of "complete" before development begins to ensure smooth, aligned delivery.

  • Establish structured touchpoints and review gates with vendors to validate understanding, surface assumptions early, and maintain alignment throughout delivery.

  • Navigate complex, multi-party environments with confidence, adapting communication style to the audience — whether client executives, technical engineers, or external partners.

Delivery & Communication

  • Establish delivery plans, sprint goals, and cross-team checkpoints to drive execution from development through launch.

  • Own risk management and issue escalation, proactively identifying and removing blockers to protect timelines and customer experience.

  • Help clients understand the trade-offs involved in moving away from legacy systems and guide them toward pragmatic, future-proof solutions.

  • Maintain visibility to both gravity9 and client leadership through structured status updates, KPIs, and readiness reporting.

  • Guide and uplift client-side product teams along the way, establishing sustainable practices and transferring knowledge so the client can confidently take ownership as the engagement matures.

Job requirements

This role will suit a highly capable Senior Product Manager with at least seven years' experience. The role is based in Las Vegas, Nevada and would require visiting the client’s office on a weekly basis. Skills and experience must include:

  • Experience working within enterprise environments, with a strong understanding of managing expectations, building trust, and navigating organisational dynamics.

  • Demonstrated experience guiding clients through technology modernisation — helping them move from legacy systems to modern platforms while managing complexity and risk.

  • Demonstrated experience managing third-party vendors and external delivery partners, with the ability to guide vendor teams toward a shared understanding of scope and prevent misaligned assumptions from turning into delivery issues.

  • Proven ability to manage and influence a broad range of stakeholders — client executives, technical teams, designers, and external partners — across competing priorities.

  • Technically curious with the confidence to engage in technical conversations and understand technical concepts — not an engineer, but someone who can speak the language, ask the right questions, and hold their own in discussions around complex topics such as CDPs, integrations, and data flows.

  • Ability to take a high-level vision and decompose it into clear, actionable bodies of work.

  • In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with Agile processes and principles.

  • Software product delivery or software engineering background.

  • Strong negotiation skills and the confidence to push back constructively when needed.

  • Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills — the ability to convey complex information simply and tailor the message to the audience is essential.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams.

  • Experience in the casino, hospitality, or hotel industry is a strong plus.

  • Education: Degree in computer science or another STEM subject is preferred (MSc or BSc level), but alternative education paths will be considered.

Key Attributes & Behaviours

  • Clarity-driven — Relentless in ensuring that every team and every vendor understands exactly what is expected. You don't leave room for "I assumed."

  • Passionate about product — Driven to deliver products that match the client's vision and business needs, with genuine pride in the outcome.

  • Delivery-focused — Strong analysis and problem-solving skills with the flexibility to adapt across a spectrum of engagements, use cases, and modes of delivery.

  • Exemplary integrity and relationship-builder — Professional approach to all aspects of client engagement and collaborative teamwork, able to quickly build trust and transparency with internal and external partners alike.

  • Empowering — Comfortable guiding others, meeting them where they are, and helping them grow. You build capability, not dependency.

  • Value-driven — Creative thinking with an aptitude for innovation and a strong desire to exceed client expectations.

  • Energetic and resilient — Positive attitude and determination to learn, adapt, and succeed in fast-moving, high-stakes environments.
