When it comes to disrupting entire industries and truly transforming the customer experience you have to have an exceptional team who can make it happen. At Gravity 9 we have a team of passionate, driven experts who think and do things differently.  However, to prove our credentials, and our personality, each month we will properly introduce you to one of the Gravity 9ers. This month we start with Founding Partner Noel Ady.

Here’s what Noel had to say when posed with his 9 questions:

1.     What is your role at Gravity 9?

I probably have many roles within the team; however, I primarily see my position as a technical evangelist for our clients. I act as lead consultant, engaging with potential clients to discuss their technical requirements then, once on board, working with them on their vision and architecture. To the wider Gravity 9 team I am a coach and impart the principle consultants in order to concentrate our message and approach as a business.

2.     What do you enjoy most about working at Gravity 9?

My biggest passion is big problems, that and the ability to set a vision. Taking the inefficiencies and strategic problems of large organisations, which they themselves can’t get a handle on, then turning these into something tangible which then breaks down into solutions that we build.

We are a small team, yet we go into large organisations, and through the skills and experience of our people, deliver rapid solutions to some of our client’s most complex problems.

Every day I learn something new from the Gravity 9 team. I really love what I do and the people I work with!

3.     What one piece of advice would you give to someone starting out in your line of work?

Two things. The first is to always be open to learning and be able to question yourself.Understand you don’t know everything, open up and allow yourself to be challenged; it’s not always an easy thing to do but it’s really the best way to evolve your knowledge and capabilities.

Secondly, love what you do. It can be long hours and hard work at times so you need to have a passion for what you are doing.

4.     What can’t you start your day without?

Seeing my two boys first thing in the morning… closely followed by a coffee!

5.     What do you do in your spare time?

Spare time, what’s that? Running is something I always make time for though. I’ve been a passionate runner for years. For me running is transformational, no matter what’s going on in my head or the stress I’m feeling after a run I feel refreshed, I have new ideas and a positive mindset.

6.     What is the last movie you watched?

I watched Yesterday on Netflix the other day. It was an interesting concept for a film. I’m a big Beetles fan and really enjoyed it. I’d definitely recommend it as an easy watch.

7.     What special skill /talent do you have (other than what you do for a living)?

I’m pretty confident I can name any tune in 2 (or maybe 3) try me…

8.     What would be your dream holiday?

I haven’t got one dream holiday. I really want to go to Japan and stay in Tokyo city centre for a couple of weeks, but I also love the idea of a surfing and yoga holiday to find my zen!

I love activity holidays such as snowboarding or mountain biking; I couldn’t just sit on a beach for a week.

9.     What is the last song you had stuck in your head?

There’s a Pulp song I don’t know the name of that I’ve had stuck in my head for a while. I can’t remember the lyrics, only the melody. It sounds a bit like ‘Take my Hand’ by Matt Berry, I’ll buy a pint for anyone who can tell me what it is called!
