Role Description

We are looking for an experienced and talented Project Manager to join our team! As a PM, you will be working with a team of highly skilled and experienced engineers and designers.

We believe small, multi-disciplinary teams are most effective in delivering complex change. As such, we are looking for someone with a collaborative mindset who is happy to be flexible and take on different responsibilities over the lifetime of our projects.  

Key responsibilities for the role include:

  • Define project scope, goals and deliverables
  • Define project tasks and resource requirements
  • Develop full scale project plans
  • Manage the project resource plan and budget
  • Manage project issues, risks and actions
  • Lead the planning and implementation approach of projects
  • Manage project resource allocation
  • Track project deliverables using appropriate tools
  • Monitor and report on progress of the project to all stakeholders
  • Implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs
  • Project evaluations and assessment of results
  • Coordinate with clients to ensure project delivery
  • Work closely with clients and Product Owner to understand key user stories and requirements
  • Guide, coach and motivate the team with the goal of increasing productivity
  • Passionate about Scrum, Kanban, Lean Thinking, Lean Startup, eXtreme Programming, SAFe, LeSS, etc.
  • Organise and lead Scrum ceremonies
  • Prepare and present reports on the progress and success of projects

Role requirements and experience

This role will suit a highly capable Scrum Master with at least five years’ experience. Skills and experience must include:

  • 5-10 years of experience as a Project Manager or similar role
  • In-depth knowledge of project management and development procedures
  • Hands on experience in budgeting and reporting
  • Deep experience with agile practices, patterns and techniques
  • Experience in Agile techniques such as User Stories, ATDD, TDD, BDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, Agile Games etc.
  • A sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on the company’s success
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Team player
  • Education: A computer science or another STEM subject is preferred, either at MSc or BSc level, but alternative education paths and subjects will be considered

Key attributes and behaviours to succeed in this role will be:

  • Delivery focus - strong analysis and problem-solving skills. Ability to evaluate, design and implement effective solutions. Flexibility to adapt skills to a spectrum of client engagements, use cases and modes of change delivery.

Strong presentation and written and verbal communication are essential given the client facing nature of the role.
