This month we continue our Meet the gravity9’ers series with the introduction of Architect Diego Felipe Hoyos Moreno who is based in Colombia.

1.What is your role at gravity9?

I am a software architect, currently involved with a USA based client in the property sector.

2.What do you enjoy most about working at gravity9?

I learn new things almost every day.  At gravity9, we use the latest technology and I work with very talented people. When I speak to new candidates thinking of joining the company, I tell them it is why I love working here and why they may like to join us.

3. What one piece of advice would you give to someone starting out in your line of work?

I really love this line from a speech given by Steve Jobs, it always stays in my mind; ’stay hungry or stay foolish.’ For me that is key in this line of work, every single day you have to keep hungry, keep learning and don’t ever think you know everything.

4. What can’t you start your day without?

Saying hello to my family and then a huge cup of coffee (Colombian blend of course).

5. What do you do in your spare time?

I like to spend time with my family, going to the movies and just hanging out. When I have enough time, I enjoy playing computer games. This is why I learned about computers, I wanted to set up to play games and it went from there.

6. What is the last movie you watched?

The Batman, it was a really nice movie. It’s truly a different movie to the other Batman ones. It’s long, three hours, but totally worth it.

7. What special skill / talent do you have (other than what you do for a living)?

I enjoy cooking but I wouldn’t say it’s a talent, but I really enjoy it. I love to cook barbecue and the chicken; it is great!

8. What would be your dream vacation?

For me, it has to be with my family. A mix of time to relax, where I can sit, have food and beverages brought to me and not move a finger. But also, combined with days of culture and activities, I need a combination of the two. New Zealand is on my wish list, so I could visit all the places from Lord of the Rings.

9. What is the last song you had stuck in your head?

It’s a song called Pepas by Farruko, for some reason it just sticks in my head, the rhythm is really catchy.
